If you believe chocolate and distilled spirits are among the necessities of life, your day has come. The first Chocolate Wine & Shine Festival takes place on Saturday, July 10. Sample an incredible variety of fine chocolates, distilled spirits, and wines from around the state. General admission, which includes entry and a commemorative glass, is $40. VIP tickets for $75 feature added perks such as early access, private tastings, and concierge service. There will be two three-hour sessions at noon and 6 p.m. Guests must be 21 or older to attend.

The boys of summer are back! Watch the WV Black Bears take the field against the Mahoning Valley Scrappers on Saturday, July 17 at Monongalia Ballpark, just minutes from Granville homes for sale. Get an early look at these draft-eligible collegiate players before they make their way to the big leagues. The Black Bears and Scrappers are currently neck-and-neck for first place in the league, so there's bound to be plenty of action. Game time is 7:05 p.m. Tickets are $13 in advance and $15 day of the game.
- Country Roads Barbecue Clash - Mylan Park, 500 Mylan Park Ln., Morgantown, WV 26501
What was originally planned as a one-day chicken wing fest wasn't enough to accommodate Morgantown's love of barbecue. As a result, the event has now grown into the three-day Country Roads Barbecue Clash, scheduled for Friday, July 16 through Sunday, July 18. Top teams from around the Mid-Atlantic region will be competing for $9,000 in prizes for chicken, pork, ribs, and brisket categories. The family-friendly event includes the Chick-fil-A Kids Zone along with games, music, and craft vendors. Single- and multi-day passes are available starting at $10. Kids 12 and under are admitted free of charge. Hours are 3 p.m. - 10:45 p.m. Friday, 11 a.m. - 8 p.m. Saturday, and 11 a.m. - 5 p.m. Sunday.
- Fair on the Square - Morgantown Square
A summertime festival at the town square is a classic part of Americana. The tradition continues on Saturday, July 17 with Fair on the Square, sponsored by the Morgantown Farmer's Market. There's fun for the whole family with games, inflatables, and vendors. Cap off the night with live musical entertainment hosted by Firehouse Pizza. Hours are 9 a.m. - 11 p.m. and admission is free for all ages.

Enjoy your favorite films under the stars at Movies Among the Mountains, sponsored by Mon Health. Showtime is 7 p.m. at Mylan Park's Track & Field Complex. July 10 is Date Night, with the movie to be chosen by popular vote. Other films scheduled are Wonder Woman 1984 on July 24, Raya the Last Dragon on August 7, and the 2019 version of The Lion King on August 21. Admission is free for all ages.
