Pros of Log-Cabin Living

Energy Efficiency
Wood is a great insulator. That fact, coupled with the thickness of a typical log cabin's walls, translates to excellent energy efficiency year-round. Log cabins trap heat inside during the winter months and are equally effective at sealing in conditioned air in summer. Wood also naturally absorbs heat during the day and radiates it at night, reducing the need for forced heat or air.
