Serving as a connection between West Virginia University's Organic Farm and its Downtown Campus, Falling Run Greenspace is a 60-acre playground for hikers, runners, and cyclists. Falling Run is a work in progress, and once it's completed, it will offer Morgantown residents 13 trails with eight access points.

Looking for an outdoor spot that's away from the hustle and bustle? Head over to the West Virginia Botanic Garden. This 85-acre garden features 4.5 miles of trails. You can enjoy a hike through the wooded area and explore the many stunning gardens. Some of the most popular attractions include the Butterfly Garden, "Hammock Haven," and the Meditation Garden.
- Snake Hill Wildlife Management Area: Snake Hill Road, Morgantown, WV 26508
If you prefer your hikes a bit on the wild side, Snake Hill Wildlife Management Area will provide you with the challenge you're looking for. Dotted with old logging roads turned trails, the area also features many unmarked trails to explore.

Enjoy the solitude afforded by the Mon River Trail with access at the Van Voorhis Trailhead. This system of trails for hikers, runners, and cyclists is the result of a project to reclaim the former Quality Glass site. The area has been all but transformed from a site with contaminated soil to safe, recreational land.
