THE IMPORTANCE OF BEING EARNEST
I loved Colin Firth in the 2002 cinematic version of "The Importance of Being Earnest". Truth be told, I love Colin Firth in just about anything.
The play, a romantic comedy lampooning Victorian customs and courtship, was first performed in 1895 and is Oscar Wilde's most famous. It includes the foolishness of love and mistaken identity, and gentlemen deceiving ladies (who catch onto them) for the sake of conquest.
In case you're not the only one with a case of cabin fever right about now, "The Importance of Being Earnest" is being enacted once again by our own Fairmont State University School of Fine Arts and the Masquers theatre group for your pleasure.
